haha.. prelim results after moderation have improved my results slightly.. but no where near good enough to get into JC for 1st 3 months. english A2, emath B3, amath fail, comb. humans C6, chinese C6, bio C6, phy C5, chem E8. L1R5 28. yup.. so needa prepare much more for o-levels. will get to that... soon..
went to bishan library after school today to mug with joseph. think we made some progress with amaths. haha.

liverpool beat reading 4-2 last night in the carling cup 3rd round! back to winning ways! benayoun scored the first. and torres added a hat-trick! haha. all his goals were real good!! man, we haven't had a goal-scorer like him since michael owen!! ok, maybe the same can be said for peter crouch too haha. but torres doesn't seem to give defenders a chance. like, he looks like he really wants to murder them! lol. the two goals we conceded shouldnt be a real cause for concern. we were playing a 20-yr-old reserve goalkeeper and a sort-of make-shift back 4. it won't happen in the EPL i'm sure.. so. yup. wigan away on saturday!! i think benitez WILL play torres. no matter what he says i'm pretty sure he'll look to torres as the man to unlock the wigan backline.. but u can never be sure with rafa actually haha.. so don't bet on seeing our no.9 start on sat. but no matter who starts the most important is a win for the team:)

haha.. today went to YC's house. cos it's his birthday! (happy birthday dude! u rock!) cos he was sick so ryan, renyi and i decided to go pay him a visit. i mean, nobody likes to be sick on their birthday right? and how can he spend it without seeing his frens? haha. hope u like the gift, man! they didn't have your name! lol..
anws.. my prelim results are pretty bad. got everything back already except emaths. i mean, really REALLY bad.. let's just say i'm definitely not going into JC for the first 3 months of next year. EVEN with an L1R4. won't say my actual marks (cos they're really really bad) so lets just assume my emaths gets a B (cos thats my usual grade for it) add it to my score and the L1R5 is above 30.. not saying anymore! well.. needa start studying really hard for the o-levels if i wanna get a good score to get into a good JC.. i don't really mind staying at home for first 3 months actually. can "rest" haha.. just afraid of the parent backlash haha. i have, what, 5 days before they're home? spare me! haha.
well.. liverpool drew at home against birmingham on saturday.. dang.. 0-0. stupid small club defended with 11men in their own penalty box the entire game.. then we attack attack also couldnt score.. disappointing really.. no real shots to trouble the keeper.
arsenal continued their recent fortuitious form (5-0 against derby) (liverpool demolished this team 6-0) while man utd did well to struggle over a demoralised chelsea 2-0. using their now somewhat effective tactic of crossing the ball to the near post for some guy to head in. (they've won their last 4 out of 5 games with 1-0 wins from this tactic.. showing some very boring play.) and then saha with a blatant dive to earn them a controversial penalty in the last minute. so.. yeah.. we need to get back to winning terms before this lucky teams get away with it.
dad's overseas so he's not been able to catch the games so he's been calling back to ask "I-Zack, what's the liverpool score ah? what's the man utd- chelsea score? arsenal how? everton got lose? tottenham?" haha.. then i rant to him all the scores.. well the only good thing is everton lost 2-0 to aston villa :) go villa!! that's the way!
also, there's this really cool video on youtube!! go search "ask a ninja" very funny. this dude who dresses up like a ninja and answers questions. real creative! :) haha..

yes! prelims are finally over!! which means the o-levels are almost here!! haha. exactly 1 month to the start of it, i think. but i'll think about that later, cos i'm gonna take the weekend off!
after the paper today, went to play football at Bishan with some of the other soccer guys. played at this field which was in a cage. about 3/4 the size of a normal field, i think. had goal-posts too:) and the net was in pretty good condition:) which rocks, cos when u score, u'll see the ball bulge the back of the net, and it gives this awesome cool feeling which all great goalscorers go high on and crave for in every game. i guess i'm no exception.
alot of the guys were getting cramp too. probly cos all never play since dunno when. (no thx to the upcoming o-levels...) so we took quite a few breaks too. i didn't suffer any cramp or anything. but kept drinking 100-plus cos very tired out.
1st game my team lost 8-7. although i managed to grab 5 goals (including a well-taken penalty) it wasn't enough.
2nd game my team won 4-2. i managed to grab a hat-trick (3 goals) while playing in midfield. cos the problem for our team in the first game was we didnt have a centre midfielder to protect the defence. hence the 8 goals we conceded in the first match.. so played centre midfield in the 2nd game and mopped up the loose balls in defence. looks like that was effective, cos we conceded 6 less goals.. lol.. and when we attacked i ran forward and managed to score 3. so ya.. it was a good game. haha.
whew.. really tired out. but tmr still gonna play at joe's in the morning! haha. can't wait!

one more paper to the end of prelims!! tmr just left chem paper 1 haha.. the good thing abt MCQ is that even if u dunno how to do, just pick A,B,C or D! lol. well.. the end of prelims also means we're nearing the start of the o-levels.. so.. muz study.... man, i needa buck up..
and i hear that jose mourinho has quit chelsea?? LOL. they could never last, i guess. haha. well, there's a big difference between being a great TEAM and a great CLUB. chelsea are a great team, but they're not a great CLUB. to be a great club, you need to have won many trophies before. sadly, chelsea have only 3 english titles and ZERO european cups to their name. so i don't really know what their fans are so happy about all the time. hmm.. jose mourinho never really looked happy as their manager though, he was always whining all the time, so maybe that could have been the reason. well, i don't blame him, must have been quite sad to have been the manager of a small club that had previously won only one championship before. and in his time there, he has won them two more titles! TRIPLING their success! WOW. sadly he never got them into the champions league final. but they went close though!! they lost in the semi-finals in 2005 to.. erm... oh ya, i think it was liverpool. then last season they lost again in the semi-finals! this time it was to.. erm.. oh ya, it was liverpool that knocked them out again. hey! that means liverpool have got into TWO champions league finals in the last 3 seasons! not bad eh. winning the one in 2005 too, in what is argubly the greatest champions league final of all-time. yup.. so all the best to chelsea, i guess.. and maybe they've found out that money can't buy success.
i think i have to end here because there's nothing else to post about. blame the exams.. during exam period there's always nothing to do and everyday is a boring one.. this stinks.. can't wait for saturday!! wanna play football! and saturday night is football night! liverpool vs birmingham! haha..

well.. in the midst of exams right now. prelims to be exact. though not sure will be able to do well haha. nothing much to update. just thought i should keep this blog alive lol. set up a counter too. altho i think this blog is pretty much unvisited. other than the usual suspects, nobody else ever tags haha.
liverpool drew with portsmouth away yesterday too.. initially was really upset about it but after chelsea's draw with blackburn, the table doesnt look too bad. we're still second to arsenal. and the big 4 are right up there again. sigh.. if we are to challenge for the title this season, games like last night's should be won.. but oh well.. the international break tired out most of the liverpool players.. should bounce back next week against birmingham at anfield.
parents have left overseas for 2 weeks too. starting from today. but i still have exams anws. haha.
man, i'm itching to play some football.. haven't played since 27 august.. that's 3 weeks! :(
but most likely can go play this sat after my prelims at joe's place. playing with him and his bros is always fun:) also needa go and coach jordan. dun really needa coach jeremy, he's pretty good as he is and he plays a different game from me too. mine's more attacking. but jordan needs a bit of twiking. who doenst at this early age? in fact, who doesnt at any age?? there's always room for improvement:) haha. there i go about football again.. but seriously, those two little tikes are more promising than i was at their age. and when u train someone to become better than urself, then, its probly the biggest achievement u can achieve with them. i think... don't really know what i'm saying but i guess it makes sense lol.
yup.. tmr got amaths paper 2 and physics paper 1.. physics i'm pretty prepared. amaths gotta do some more revision later. from what came out in paper1, can tell that paper 2 gonna come out stuff like functions, vectors and matrices. besides the usual log, trigo, differentiation, integration, bla bla bla.. who wants to talk abt maths anws? it was only fun in pri sch when 2 plus 2 made 5. haha.

whoo! liverpool are top of the english league!!! hahahaha.. surprisingly it's the first time in 5yrs we've been top of the table. that was in 2002 when we finished second to arsenal:( anws.. yeah top of the table with 10 pts and a goal difference of +9 after thrashing derby 6-0:) torres looks a really good signing for us too! oh and chelsea lost to aston villa 2-0 last night hahaha:) well it's only 4 games into the season but a good start was what we wanted and a good start is what we've got.
