The Chumpions

whoa hoho. long time since i last posted on my blog!! haha..
hmm... the only interesting stuffs that happened in school recently was the inter-class sepak takraw competition yesterday!
our class decided we will submit a team. me, gary, syam and shu feng. and our team name was... "The Legendary Undefeated Noorzailan's Tricycle Kick Chumpions to the Muximum x 10(^8) Team".
lol. ya i know, super long name. haha! the last part is *times 10 to the power of 8* but i dunno how to type out the small power at the top. haha!
in the end, they just wrote our team name on the scoreboard as "2T24". then we decided to shorten our name to just "The Chumpions". lol. there were 16 teams in total. 4 groups of 4. the top 2 of each group qualify for the quater-finals.
anyways, we won all our 3 group games easily to make it to the quarter-finals as top of our group.
our team formation was me in the centre, gary on the right, and syam on the left. but syam had to leave early to go watch X-men wolverine, so shu feng came in to substitute him. i was the main server of the team and most of our points came from my serves. but i made some mistakes too so we lost some points there as well haha. the rattan ball is quite hard, so i've got some bruises on my legs and my head is hurting really bad from heading it too much and too hard. lol.
we won the quarter-final easily in straight sets too. but we lost in the semi-finals.
there was 3rd and 4th placing match too and we lost that one as well. so in the end we finished 4th.
we were all super disappointed cos we had expected to win the whole thing. our class is tipped as favourites to win alot of sports competitions this year cos we have quite a few people that can play some sports. but this year so far we've only got 3rd for handball and now 4th for sepak takraw.. but nvm..
we also found out from the draw yesterday that at the CJC Olympic games in july that our class is participating in football, netball, and basketball. i can quite confidently say that we are one of the favourites to win football. and our netball team is quite a good one too. so we'll be gunning for those 2 trophies. for our bball, sad to say, i think we'll get trashed hahaa!! (sorry jeanne) (if she ever finds this blog. lol)
anyway, gary and i were super angry with the referee that took our semifinal and 3rd&4th placing matches cos he was super lousy. like seriously. but he was a student lah, so can't really be helped..
actually yesterday was really really angry about it. i have this bad tendency to lose in semi-finals. and yesterday was another semi-final hoodoo for me. but i'm much better now lah.
but oh well, whether we won or lost, nobody can deny that we are still The Chumpions! hahaha..
by the way, i think i've invented a new football kick called the tricycle kick!! it's something like the bicycle kick, only that you swing your kicking foot first as well. meaning that you do a triple swing with your legs. hahaha!! it's really hard!!! i realised that it's easier to do it in the straight overhead kick style, rather than the sideways scissors kick style. but it's just for show lah. haha. new skill invented!! whoohoo!!!
ok i'm talking lots of football stuff now haha..
anyway, man utd can win the title tonight as long as they gain a point against the pathetic arsenal. it looks all over, but must not give up hope!! either way, it must be said that liverpool have got much closer this year. and if looking at the "what-ifs", we might have won. what if gerrard and torres had been fit for more games? what if we had won just 3 of the games we drew at anfield? what if man utd had not won in the last minutes by those macheda guy's goals? etc etc..
but yes, i hate to say it once again, but.. next season will be our season! haha!
