Camp V-nest

hello!!
i'm here to talk about my class CIP! it was from 2-4 june (9am-5pm everyday) and we were facilitating a camp for kids. it was called Camp V-nest. lol. ya i know, silly name.
anyways, it was held in jiemin pri school. oh man it was quite fun haha! i really enjoyed it cos i liked the kids in my group:) i was group leader and joshua and emily were helping me (josh was the assistant leader). i think we took care of the kids pretty well and got them involved in all the games and activities. they were learning about 3 values: peace, resilience and gratefulness. haha. oh, the kids were all pri4-5.
i think my group was maybe the most well-behaved group and actually me and joshua enjoyed it alot more than the others haha. i made it a point for my group to sit together at lunch and break times. and everytime we had activity i made sure that we all sat in a circle and everyone had a chance to talk and participate. thankfully, i don't think our kids were that troublesome.
there were 6 kids in my group. 3 boys 3 girls. the boys were hafiz, marteen, and yi da. and the girls were zoey, joanne, and yining. hafiz and marteen are super funny. they kept talking to me and josh about liverpool and arsenal. and they kept doing their rock on! hand signs. lol. yi da is super cute and he's got a twin brother yi hong who looks like me and the whole class were going on about it. he really does kinda look like me cos he wears the thick specs i used to wear haha. joanne is super cute but she's shy. and she's kinda tiny. haha! super cute. josh and i kinda liked her alot cos she made the gratefulness medal for us:) zoey is quite scary cos she's alittle over-dominant. haha! like she tries to take charge when we're playing games but that's cos she's a bit more mature for her age. i found out it's cos she's the eldest of 5 kids at home. wow. yining is just like a normal girl. and she likes to tell some jokes which are kinda like.. huh?? lol.
well i don't think i'm supposed to say too much cos we're actually not supposed to write about our camp and put up any photos on facebook haha!
anyways, i learned lots from facilitating the camp and i realised that i like to work with children and i hope i get the chance to do it again. it was also a good time for me to bond with my classmates and get to know them better. especially joshua. cos he was my assistant leader and we were working very closely together and talking about our kids alot.
actually i'm doing this post cos we're supposed to write our reflections and pass them up to kenneth so i'm letting my thoughts flow with this post and then later cut and paste and make it more formal, then ok liao. haha! smart right? lol.
man, i really miss the kids in my group:(.. serious! on thursday night i couldn't sleep properly sia. kept thinking about the fun 3 days i had. i hope i can see them again. it's quite hard cos bruce, our camp instructor, didn't allow us to exchange contact info. and they live in yishun, so it's quite hard to see them around. if only it was some school around serangoon. haha. i feel like their big brother man. ok i think this is enough content to do my reflection essay. haha!
rock on!!
