big names for the big games

we are just ONE HOUR away from the MERSEYSIDE DERBY!!!
EVERTON VS LIVERPOOL!!!
til today, i still struggle to decide which game is bigger and more important- the games against man utd, or the ones against everton.
i guess those against man utd, the scum, are more important cos it will affect the title race, and there are lotsa man utd fans in singapore.

btw there was this joke on football crazy that made me and dad laugh like nuts haha!!
Qns: why do astronauts go to train at old trafford (man utd's homeground)?
Ans: bcos it is the only place on earth with NO ATMOSPHERE!
LOL! omg that really cracked the both of us up hahahaha!!!XD

the games against everton are about city pride, and personally, i feel everton are inferior to us, so losing to them really just makes me sick. no offence to the manchester derby or some london derbies, but the merseyside derby is really of a different level. the challenges fly in like nobody's business and the cards come out like daisies in spring time!!! losing to our neighbouring rivals is really something i can't stand.
even though we've won 6 out of the 8 derbies since rafa took over, nothing is for certain in a derby. and that's the scariest part.
well, torres will be looking to regain his scoring form, keane will be desperate to get his first goal for the club, and gerrard is just one away from 100 goals for liverpool. so everton had better watch out. i don't care who scores as long as we win, but there'll be a soft spot for me towards gerrard and keane today. cos if either scores it's gonna be something special.
here's something from the liverpool website:
Steven Gerrard will skipper the side at Goodison still waiting for his 100th goal for Liverpool. After having a strike controversially ruled out against Stoke last weekend, Benitez is hoping it's a sign that his magical moment will arrive on derby day.
"Maybe his goal against Stoke City was disallowed because destiny has reserved him to score his 100th goal against Everton. Steven can score in any game, he's always a threat. But maybe it will be better for him if he scores on Saturday. Clearly, he is a player with quality and not too many midfielders can score 99 goals in their career. Steven is maybe the best attacking midfielder around."
yup, that's Stevie G, our captain! local boy turned hero.

okie dokie, now away from football:p
yesterday was CJC J1 study day. so there was no school. met yiying at PS mac's at 10am for breakfast first. then we studied econs from 11am to 2pm. after a while it got too noisy so we decided to walk to church and study there. then later athelia and sam came with the same idea of studying too haha. then later mark also. walao now all steal my idea of studying in church haha! it's really good man. (if you study alone) cos it's super quiet. and maybe God's presence helps a bit haha.
well i did econs the whole time again. finished the chapter on market structure. seriously, i can't stand it man. i still don't really get it. yiying was doing market failure, which to me is super easy but to her is super hard haha! and mkt structure is easier to her. o.O
then david came and we went for dinner.
then later we went for dbs!! contrary to what is on david's blog, i don't think uncle alex was really angry with us haha. cos everyone else also talking alot. just so happened we're directly infront of him so he look straight sure see us haha. cos everytime a point was raised david and i will be like "wow that applies to this part of our lives!" then we will say something like "okay, we have to uncheck our 'auto-judge' button" or "wow quite hard to get rid of this kinda thinking leh." cos last night was about judging people. so me and david will have to try harder to stop judging people! sometimes it's quite hard cos very hard to change impressions of people, but yes we must pray!
ok today i just stayed at home and i did the chapter on market failure for econs. so that's completed my revision for the H2 subjects!!
i've got a plan for the next 10 days of exams and hopefully it'll be enough.
here are some verses i've took comfort in:
nahum 1:7 - "The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him."
phil 4:13 - "I can do everything through him who gives me strength."
romans 8:28 - "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
hope this is encouraging to all those taking exams!:) o-level, n-level, a-level, promos, or whatever EoYs.
alrighto, almost time for the big game!!
and almost time for my exams as well! haha. they start on monday and last to next tuesday 7 oct.
it's...... GO TIME!!!

do or die. now or never. make or break.
